Knots of History
Rooted in the Past, Tied to the Present

Step into a world of vintage charm at our King Hotel, owned and operated by the Singh Family. Our hotel building is set to enter a new era in its rich 100-year history following its long time. The building has been a sight of downtown Oliver. The foundation of the building was laid down in 1928 by Anthony Reopel. He was the one who proposed the Idea of constructing a giant modern hotel in Oliver with a fully licensed dining room.

With its classic exterior, it's like taking a step back in time. The idea of having a hotel with a licensed restaurant, was quite unusual at that time, especially since the community had been dry with alcohol prohibition for 13 years.

The King Hotel is home to Howling Coyote, a cozy pub and restaurant established in 1986. Under the management of the Singh family, the pub is currently undergoing restoration for a fresh new look. Stay tuned for a revamped dining experience at The Howling Coyote within our historic hotel building in downtown Oliver.

The rooms at our boutique King Hotel have been renovated to feature fresh paint and updated electrical work, ensuring a comfortable stay for our guests. While maintaining the timeless charm of the exterior, a new coat of paint has been added to enhance the classic style. Our goal is to provide the best hospitality experience in our charming and cozy historic hotel.
